Esse blog nasceu há 11 anos atrás (em maio de 2007) quando fiz a minha primeira viagem à Inglaterra (se quiserem conhecer um pouco daquela viagem, acessem esse aqui).
Para quem me conhece há mais tempo, sabe quão emblemático foi esse primeiro contato com a Terra da Rainha – a realização de um sonho de criança. Naquela viagem, a minha ideia inicial era explorar a Inglaterra e a Escócia, mas não foi possível.
Exatos 10 anos depois – em maio de 2017 – tive mais uma oportunidade de visitar o Reino Unido – num misto de viagem à trabalho e viagem familiar (afinal me casei com uma descendente de Escoceses. Depois explico o contexto familiar dessa viagem).
Nessa viagem tive o lado de trabalho, o qual muitos vão dizer “e isso lá é trabalho?… rs”, mas trabalho também tem seus prazeres não é? Esse lado trabalho foi levar um grupo de 24 clientes e executivos da empresa para visitar Londres, com direito a alguns momentos especiais como jantar no 2 Temple Place, e momentos acima de especiais, exclusivos com toda essência da palavra, como visitar a fábrica da equipe de Fórmula 1 da Mercedes AMG Petronas – tetra campeã mundial – onde o carro da F1 é feito.
E teve o lado pessoal e turístico também. Nesse caso, consegui ir finalmente para a Escócia (fechando aquele meu roteiro de 2007), fui a Cambridge que não cobri no primeiro roteiro e visitei familiares escoceses da minha esposa.
Mais uma vez, o Reino Unido trazendo uma viagem marcante na minha vida… E não tinha como ser diferente!

This blog was born 11 years ago (may 2007) when I did my first trip to England (if you want to know a little about that trip, click here).
For those who know me for a longer time know how iconic was for me this first contact with the Land of the Queen – a dream from my childhood coming true. In that trip, my initial idea was to explore England and Scotland, however it was not possible at that time.
Ten years after – in May 2017 – I had another opportunity to visit United Kingdom – a mix of business trip and family trip (as I got married to a Scottish descendant lady. Later I´ll explain the family part of this trip).
In this trip there was the work side of it, but some will say “who said is it work?”, but work may be pleasant, may it not? The “work side” was to take 24 clients and executives of the company to visit London having some special moments such as dinner at 2 Temple Place and moments above special as to visit the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team factory – four times constructor champion – where the F1 car is developed.
On the other side, the personal and touristic one, I finally visited Scotland (completing my original tour from 2007), where I had the chance to meet some Scottish relatives of my wife. I also visited Cambridge which was not part of the first trip.
Once again, United Kingdom offered me another outstanding trip in my life.
