Só o cume interessa – parte 1 – Serra das Prateleiras / Aiming the top–part 1–Prateleiras Hill

Se o primeiro dia foi nublado e tranquilo, o segundo dia em Itatiaia foi exatamente o oposto: o sol deu o ar da graça logo pela manhã e nos acompanhou durante todo o dia até o final da nossa trilha, inclusive nos presenteou com um belíssimo por do sol e de tranquilo a trilha não teve nada.

Fomos em direção à Serra das Prateleiras, um pico que fica em frente ao Morro do Couto, visitado no primeiro dia, e cujo cume está cerca de 2.548 metros de altitude.

A trilha para chegar até sua base foi bem tranquila, porém o ataque ao cume exigiu força, flexibilidade e uma dose extra de coragem em alguns momentos.

A sucessão de pedras ásperas, vãos apertados que, em alguns momentos, nos exigia agacharmos totalmente para transpo-los ou algumas grandes fendas fizeram essa trilha intensa, e ao mesmo tempo, foi um “esquenta” para o dia seguinte quando fomos rumo ao cume do Pico das Agulhas Negras.

A vista lá de cima foi incrivel, não apenas por ter tido a oportunidade de contemplar todas as serras ao redor, como também fomos contemplados com um grande “colchão” de nuvens que deu um toque especial à vista do local.

Excelente forma de se preparar para a grande conquista!

If the first day was cloudy and easy, the second one was quite the opposite: the sun was there to follow us since the morning hours and by the whole day until the end of our trail, including offered us a beautiful sunset and the day was not easy at all.

We aimed the top of Prateleiras hill, a plateau in front of Couto´s hill, which we visited in the first day, and it is at 2,548 metres height.

The trail to reach the base were an easy one, however to reach the top we were demanded some effort, flexibility and some extra courage.

The rough stones, the small holes which demanded walk on our knees to pass through them and some fissures made this trail an intense one, and at the same time, it was a kind of “warm up” to the next day when we went to the top of Agulhas Negras hill.

The view from there was amazing, not only because we had the opportunity to see all the hills surrounding us, but also because we were gifted by the big “mattress” of white clouds which gave an special effect to that place.

That was an excellent way to get ready to biggest conquest”!
