O segundo passeio em Lençóis foi bem distinto do realizado no primeiro dia. Naquele “faltou água” nas lagoas, nesse a água foi abundante e vinda de fontes diversas.

Fomos passear de lancha (voadeira) no rio Preguiça, a primeira fonte de água. Percorremos apenas 48 km desse rio que tem mais de 500 km de extensão. Visitamos algumas comunidades ribeirinhas – Vassouras e Caburé – passamos por um manguezal, apreciamos a diversidade da vegetação no percurso e pudemos também apreciar a vista do local a partir do mirante no alto do farol de Preguiça.

A segunda fonte de água foi o oceano, pois chegamos ao local de encontro do rio Preguiça com o mar, local de belíssimo visual, além da oportunidade de nos banharmos em ambos, o que foi simplesmente fantástico uma vez que o sol estava no ponto para isso.

E também teve alguns aventureiros que foram fazer um tour de quadriciclo, dando um toque mais divertido e radical ao passeio do dia.

Ainda que a lancha não tenha chacoalhado tanto como o Toyota no trajeto até as dunas e nem tenhamos andado tanto também, devo dizer que o sol e os banhos de mar e rio conseguiram me cansar bem, tanto que após um belo banho já de volta à pousada, deitei-me numa das redes na varanda e o cochilo “pré-jantar” foi automático e sem esforço algum.

The second tour in Lencois Maranhaenses was quite different from the first one. In that one there is no “enough water” in the lakes at the Dunes. In this one, the water was abundant and from different sources.

We went for a ride in a motorboat (“voadeira”) on Preguica river, the first source. We visited some by the river communities – Vassouras and Cabure – we passed by a mangrove swampL, we appreciated the vegetation during the route and also the view from the top of a lighthouse.

The second source of water was the ocean, as we visited the place where the river and the sea meet each other, a very beautiful area, and we also had the chance to bath on both, what was fantastic considering the high temperature.

And there were some adventurers who did a tour by ATV, adding fun and radical to today´s tour.

Although the motorboat has not been shaking as Toyota jeeps on the way to the Dunes and we haven´t walked as we did the first day, I have to admit that the sun and swimming in the river and the sea got me tired in a way that after taking a shower at the inn I took a nap in the veranda before dinner.

I am just waiting for the third day!
