Dean & Britta ao vivo no Sesc Pompeia

Em meio a aridez de São Paulo e dos ocorridos macabros que permeiam as notícias de jornal, um oasis sublime e intenso se abre na cidade.

Na verdade se abriu por duas horas, mais precisamente, no SESC Pompeia na excelente apresentação da banda Dean & Britta.

Esse foi um daqueles shows que você diz, olhando para o alto “agradeço por estar aqui”.

A dupla americana Dean Wareham and Britta Philips veio apresentar o seu excelente álbum 13 Most Beautiful Songs for Andy Warhol´s Screen Test.

O show não foi apenas musical, foi visual também. No telão, as cenas, eu diria os retratos em vídeo de personalidades ou anônimos que passaram pelos estúdios de Warhol entre 1964 e 1966. E aqui, um parênteses. As canções foram compostas exclusivamente para esses vídeos por Dean & Britta à pedido do Andy Warhol Museum.

O resultado foi uma enxurrada de sentimentos e sensações. Um delírio interior, intimista, regado com uma melodia dócil e envolvente que nos transportou por uma bela viagem pessoal e intransferível.

Dean & Britta ainda fizeram um bis com duas canções além das 13 faixas do álbum e mantiveram a simpatia até fora do palco, conversando com todos e autografando os cds, dvds, livros e posters adquiridos pela platéia na saída do show.

Although the bleakness of Sao Paulo city and the terrible news we have been reading about Rio de Janeiro this week, we had our moment for a pleasant oasis.

In fact, it was for two hours only, more precisely at SESC Pompeia, during the excellent live performance of Dean & Britta.

This was one of those concerts we look up to the sky and say “thank you I am here”.

The American duo Dean Wareham and Britta Philips came to Sao Paulo to present its latest album 13 most Beautiful Songs for Andy Warhol´s Screen Test.

It was not only a musical performance, it was a visual one as well. On the big screen the scenes, I would say the video portraits of some anonymous or famous people who passed through Andy Warhol´s studio between 1964 and 1966. And I have to emphasise that the songs were composed exclusively for these videos at the request of Andy Warhol Museum.

The result was a frenzy flood of intimate feelings and sensations, surrounded by a sweet melody that brought us a delightful journey.

Dean & Britta did an encore with two songs in addition to the 13 tracks of the mentioned album and kept their simpathy up even off stage talking to everyone and autographing cds, dvds, books and posters purchased by the audience at the end of the show.
